Little Shelter will hold its 19th Pet-A-Palooza adoption and fund raising extravaganza from 9am to 6pm on the weekend of the 20th, 2016. On Saturday and Sunday Little Shelter’s grounds are expected to be full of thousands of people looking to adopt a new family member and to join in the festivities. Pet-A-Palooza is famous for its family fun activities and for raising thousands of dollars each year to benefit the animals.
Each year Little Shelter has “The Blessing of the Animals Service” which will be held this year on Sunday at 3pm. The service will be open not only to Little Shelter residents but family pets who are in attendance as well. Throughout the weekend Little Shelter will be showing off their available dogs including the return of the famous “Doggy Swimsuit Competition”, “Dogs On Parade” contest.
Some of the activities going on are live entertainment, a kids coloring and games section, face painting, HUGE Chinese auction, Canine search and rescue demonstration, BBQ and much more.
Several other Long Island based rescue groups will also be at Pet-A-Palooza with tents of their adoptable animals looking for homes, covering everything from furs to scales. Families looking to adopt a new furry family member are encouraged to come and see all the wonderful pets of all different varieties that will be available to loving homes during this event. All proceeds raised at this event go to benefit the residents of Little Shelter.
