Present the First Women’s Health Empowerment Series

Councilwoman Tracey Edwards, the Town of Huntington Women’s Services and Huntington Hospital Northwell Health are proud to announce our first Women’s Health Empowerment Series.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 7pm at Huntington Town Hall we will present our first topic “Breast Health” in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“As a major part of the Huntington community, Huntington Hospital is pleased to be educating the community through the Town’s venue about various health topics, including breast health this month. We will do all that we can to keep our community healthy.” said, Gerard Brogan, Jr., MD, executive director of Huntington Hospital.

Topics will include preventative screening exams, risk assessment and factors genetics, nutrition and the role of estrogen in woman’s health. Information will also be provided for Free Breast Cancer Screening. Our panel will also discuss treatment options after diagnosis for women and men with breast cancer

We have put together a panel of amazing Doctors, Nurses, and other experts who will be sharing critical information to empower women. As a breast cancer patient myself, I have learned so much information that women without breast cancer need to know so this is personal for me, said Councilwoman Edwards. I am grateful to Huntington Hospital Northwell Health for this partnership.
