Join the staff of Little Shelter and our available adult dogs for a special adoption event. For the weekend of November 19th and 20th, 2016 Little Shelter will be opening early for potential families to participate in a meet and greet with the dogs. There will be a bagel breakfast with refreshments served at 9am, while families come to meet the dogs waiting to be adopted. Interactions with each of the available dogs are strongly encouraged.
“This is a unique experience that gives us a chance to show off some of our larger and more overlooked dogs to potential adopters in a relaxed setting. We hope families will see this more as a social event, where they can come and spend time with each animal getting to know them. We hope this will help encourage people to look at the dogs and possibly consider one that they might have just passed over if they were just taking a tour of the kennel.” stated Executive Director David Ceely.
This promises to be a fun event for all that attend and Little Shelter is expecting a large turnout with the holidays approaching. Besides bagels, during this weekend only the adoption fee on adult dogs (over 1 years old) will be reduced to half its normal amount. This special reduced fee is also meant to encourage people to adopt a new best friend. Knowledgeable staff will be ready with each of the dogs profiles and talking to interested families about their personalities.
