Thank You Stimson School Community – from the Long Island Blue Star Moms Chapter NY6. “The Stimson Penny Wars collected more than 2,200 items that were given to the Long Island Blue Star Moms to be shipped overseas to men and women serving in our armed forces.” said Stimson Assistant Principal Anthony Sansotta, who has run the mega Penny Wars Challenge each year. “The Long Island Blue Star Moms will use proceeds from our water bottle collection, approximately $250, to help with their shipping costs of these items which are specifically requested by our soldiers.” Stimson special education teacher Mr. James O’Brien and head night custodian Warren Roberts were both instrumental with the Military donation.
Long Island Blue Star Mom and local resident Sharon Collins got a lot of help loading her truck from students who were on-hand after their volleyball tryouts November 14, 2016.
Way To Go Stimson!
