The Parade will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Huntington, New York on Main Street (Route 25A) at Noon in celebration of Columbus Day.
Parade hosted by: Town of Huntington, Supervisor Frank P. Petrone, OSIA State President Robert M Ferrito, and The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce.
School Bands participating: East Meadow H.S., W. T. Clarke H.S., Kings Park H.S., Walt Whitman H.S., Islip H.S. & Deer Park H.S. Plus more.
Twenty-four Sons of Italy lodges from Nassau and Suffolk Counties will be participating with their individual banners, marching with pride as they celebrate the 112th Anniversary of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA). OSIA is the oldest and largest organization of Italian American men and women in the United States and now has more than 745 chapters throughout the country. The parade will bring the Italian American pride and presence to the Town of Huntington during the annual Fall Festival celebration weekend that will take place at Heckscher Park, Huntington, New York. There will be costumed characters, balloons, and authentic Italian costumes of the regions in Italy.
