SUFFOLK COVID-19 CASE UPDATE – April 19, 2020, 2:00 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 through 2:00 p.m. on April 19, 2020

• 65,320 COVID-19 tests have been administered
• 2 percent of those tested were confirmed positive for COVID-19
• 27,485 confirmed cases, up 783 from April 18
• Breakdown by town of COVID-19 cases can be found on the Suffolk County COVID-19 Map.*
• 1,441 patients are hospitalized, a decrease of 97 from April 18
• 508 of hospitalized patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), a decrease of 10 patients from April 18
• 825 individuals have died, an increase of 132 since April 16
• 3,390 hospital beds; 751 ICU beds
• 124 additional COVID-19 patients were discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours
