Two Men Issued Summonses for Drag Racing

Suffolk County Police issued summonses to two men for drag racing in Huntington March 4, 2021.

Suffolk County Police Officers James Padgett and Weldon Drayton were observing traffic on Deer Park Avenue, near Two Brothers Lane, when officer Padgett observed two southbound vehicles traveling in excess of 85 miles per hour in a speed contest on Deer Park Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m.

The officers initiated a traffic stop and issued summonses to J. Kashi-Kasendorf and Sean Heron. Kashi-Kasendorf, 25, of Commack, who was driving a 2018 Honda, was issued four summonses for reckless driving, unauthorized speed contest, speeding, and tinted windows. Heron, 21, of Greenlawn, who was driving a 2004 BMW, was issued seven summonses for reckless driving, unauthorized speed contest, speeding, operating with an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating with improper plates, and operating an uninspected vehicle.


Both vehicles were impounded.



A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
