13-Year-Old Arrested for Hate Crime Turns Self In, Second Precinct, 1071 Park Ave., Huntington

Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington Station teen after he punched another teen and made biased comments.

During a dispute between two groups of juveniles at the Walt Whitman Shops, located at 160 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, on May 29, 2021 a 13-year-old male punched another 13-year-old male in the face and made biased comments. The victim was not injured.

The teen was arrested at the Second Precinct on June 3, 2021 at 9 p.m. and charged with Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and hate crime under New York State penal law. He will be arraigned at Suffolk County Family Court at a later date.


A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
