Letter From Halesite Fire Department

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

When fire, disaster or medical emergency strikes, you take it for granted that your call for help will be answered. And it will be…but only because there are volunteers who willingly contribute their time and energy to keeping our community safe.

The Halesite Fire Department is recruiting a new squad of firefighters and EMS providers! We’re inviting you, our neighbors, to join us for a morning of drills this Saturday June 19th at 9:30am at the firehouse. Watch our membership at work, practicing the skills needed to continue to serve our community and have your questions about joining answered by our Officers!

You’ve always wondered, what does it take? What training is involved? What’s the time commitment? Who is needed? Now is the time to find out for yourself, just how important your volunteering with us can be. Volunteering can benefit you in many ways. You will earn respect from everyone who learns you are a volunteer. You will gain immense pride from your accomplishments and the knowledge and skills you acquire from your training. Some of the strongest social ties you will ever make will be with your brother and sister volunteers. And, of course, there is little that can compare to the satisfaction that comes from doing an important job well while contributing to the security and welfare of your community.

So be a part of the TRADITION.
Be a FIRST RESPONDER!! Become one of Halesite’s bravest.
Fill out our Contact Us form to request more information or to just let us know you’ll be joining us on Saturday!

We hope to see you there.
Jamie Magerle
Chief of Department
Halesite Fire Department
