Man Arrested for Firing Gun in Air – Huntington Village
Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington Station man for firing a gun in Huntington early this morning, Friday, June 18, 2021 at approximately 1:30 a.m..
Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a possible gunshot on Elm Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. An investigation revealed that a man fired a gun into the air during a dispute with several people and fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries.
Officers obtained a description of the man and found him nearby on Fairview Street and recovered a loaded .380 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.
The man, Tyshon Parker was arrested and charged with Prohibited Use of a Weapon and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Parker, 24, of Huntington Station, is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip today.
