Fifteen members of the Cold Spring Harbor High School Class of 2021 have achieved what most high school athletes dream about.
This fall, these scholar-athletes will enter college and become part of an elite group of collegiate athletes. While each year Cold Spring Harbor High School graduates go on to play college sports, the Class of 2021 earned the distinction of having its graduates participate in the most diverse number of sports at the college level. Two of these students received athletic scholarships and the remaining students received financial aid due to their athletic commitment to schools that do not provide athletic scholarships.
“We are so proud of these outstanding graduates and wish them continued success as they represent Cold Spring Harbor on the collegiate athletic field,” Superintendent of Schools Jill Gierasch said. “I am confident they will continue to achieve their goals.”
This achievement is a true testament to the district’s philosophy of educating the whole child and to their teachers and coaches ensuring that students have the academic skills needed to succeed in college and the athletic skills needed to compete at a higher level. Throughout their high school athletic careers, these recent graduates demonstrated the determination and commitment to achieve academic success while developing the skills required to become outstanding athletes. The district congratulates the following Class of 2021 scholar-athletes for achieving their goals as they continue to play on the collegiate level:
