INCIDENT AT HECKSCHER PARK, NO INJURIES REPORTED

HUNTINGTON, LONG ISLAND – Today there was an incident of a possible drive-by shooting at Heckscher Park, where someone may have shot at a town employee in a golf cart.  There were no injuries sustained, by either the town employee or anyone in the park or surrounding area.  The Suffolk County Police Department responded to the scene and their investigation is ongoing. 

Huntington Town Hall and the Huntington Senior Center were placed on lockdown as a precaution, along with area schools.  I am in constant contact with the public safety who are working with the Suffolk County Police Department.  Please avoid the area.
