Congressman Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk County) released the following statement after receiving the endorsement of the Suffolk County Detective Investigator’s Police Benevolent Association (DIPBA).

“I am honored to accept the endorsement of the DIPBA. As the son and grandson of Law Enforcement Officers, I understand the important role the Detective Investigators in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office play in upholding the Rule of Law,” said LaLota. “In Washington, I will continue to fight back against reckless policies that endanger our communities and strain our entire Law Enforcement system. I remain committed to securing the resources and support that our Police need to do their jobs effectively.”

“Law Enforcement is in Nick LaLota’s blood so it is not surprising that while serving in Congress he’s fought for legislation which supports the well-being of our fellow Law Enforcement professionals, such as the POLICE, Back the Blue, and Protect and Serve Acts,” said Lawrence A. Shewark Jr., President, DIPBA. “We have a strong ally and friend in Congressman LaLota. It is our pleasure  to endorse his reelection as Congressman representing Suffolk County, District 1.”
