From the Campaign of William Naughton:
Naughton will fight to return transparency in Huntington Town Government
William Naughton (D), former Town of Huntington Superintendent of Highways for 26 years, formally announced his candidacy for Huntington Town Council Yesterday.
“It is with a great deal of excitement that I announce my candidacy for Huntington Town Council,” said Naughton. “As the Superintendent of Highways, I helped design and build the infrastructure of this great Town. I have saved taxpayers millions of dollars with my track record of responsible spending.
As Superintendent of Highways I was at the helm when we rebuilt this town after one of the most devastating storms on record. Most importantly however, my record shows that I have served this town in an honest and responsible manner for over 25 years. I look forward to bringing my unparalleled experience to the Huntington Town Council.”
Naughton plans to bring his hands on managerial style and fiscally conservative prowess to town government. “Our Town Council needs members who are focused on building a stronger, more transparent government and I am the best candidate for the job,” said Naughton.
