Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash on New York Avenue and Prime Avenue, Huntington

mapOn Thursday, July 9, 2015 at approximately 9 p.m., Quincy Nelson, 17, was driving a 2005 Chrysler 300 southbound on New York Avenue when he made a left turn onto Prime Avenue and his vehicle collided with a 1974 Honda motorcycle, driven by Lee Owens, 33.

Owens, of Brooklyn, was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries for a dislocated shoulder and a severe laceration to his left leg. Nelson, of Huntington Station, and his two male passengers were uninjured.

The vehicle and the motorcycle were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. No tickets were issued.

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are continuing the investigating. They are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.
