Marissa Pastore Passed Away at 14 Years Old

Marissa Pastore, Daughter of Captain Dominick Pastore and Firefighter Risa Pastore passed away at her home on July 17, 2015.

The Pastore Family received devastating news in April 2015 when they learned their 14 year-old child Marissa was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Marissa was immediately transferred to Cohen’s Children’s Hospital for treatment but sadly her body was unable to tolerate chemotherapy.

Marissa returned home with her loving parents, Domenick and Risa, and brothers, Domenick and Ryan, to enjoy the time they had left together. Risa is an Emergency Department nurse at Huntington Hospital, Domenick is a fireman with FDNY.

Services for Marissa will be at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave Huntington Station N.Y.  on Monday, July 20, 7 – 9 P.M. and Tuesday, July 21, 2 – 4 P.M. and 7 – 9 P.M. The Huntington Manor Fire Department will hold a service Tuesday night at 8 P.M. Burial will be Wednesday at Melville Rural Cemetery time to be announced.
