95th Anniversary of the Existence of the League Celebration

On Thursday August 6, 2015 the League of Women Voters of Huntington held a Tea to celebrate the 95^th anniversary of the existence of the league.  Members and guests gathered in the colorful, lush garden of Diane Slavin’s home for tea, sandwiches, and conversation.

State Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci  joined State Assemblyman Andrew Raia in presenting the League of Women Voters of Huntington with a proclamation honoring the League of Women Voters on its 95^th anniversary for the many outreach programs it presents to encourage community involvement in government.

During a presentation and tea tasting led by Farrah La Ronde-Hutchinson, our tea expert , the health benefits and properties of different sources of teas were highlighted along with the benefits of  several spices.

Members and guests, alike enjoyed the celebration of the League’s anniversary, the Tea, and the surroundings.
