A call came in at 1:11 pm Saturday, Dec 5th, 2015. It came in as injuries from a fall off of a ladder, the location was on Algonquin Dr., Huntington Station.
The patient was a 41 year old male, reported to be about 15 ft up on the ladder at the time of the fall. The patient suffered severe lacerations and to his scalp and reported difficulty breathing on scene.
HCFAS personnel worked alongside SCPD officers in immobilizing the patient and packaging him for transport via Medevac. The ambulance met the flight crew at Manor Field, where the picture was taken. The patient was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. Huntington Manor Fire Department personnel were on scene and secured the landing zone.
Upon arrival at Stony Brook, it was determined that the patient had sustained fractures to two cervical vertebrae. As of late yesterday, he was reported to be in stable condition and was being monitored carefully.
