Pedestrian Struck in Front of First Aid Squad

At approximately 3:45 PM on Febrary 2, 2016, the on-duty dispatcher at the Huntington Community hcfas_railroadlowdesFirst Aid Squad (HCFAS)  noticed an agitated young man in front of their headquarters  pointing to the intersection of Railroad Street and Lowndes Ave.  Several HCFAS members were able to see a person lying motionless in the street.  An ambulance and a first responder vehicle with Advance Life Support (ALS) personal was dispatched.  Upon arrival the crew found a young male approximately 18 years old that been in collision with a vehicle  while attempting to cross the street.  The victim was unconscious and unresponsive. The crew members quickly immobilized the victim and performed a trauma examination.  The young man was transferred to the ambulance where he regained consciousness and was able to communicate with the crew.  He was transported to Huntington Hospital with a possible head injury.
