Little Shelter is asking you to share Trudy’s story and consider donating to her continued care here at Little Shelter.
Trudy was found wandering the streets as a stray. By the time Little Shelter heard of Trudy, she was skin and bones. She was shaking from being cold and frightened, her face scarred across one side of her muzzle. We will never truly know this little girl’s back story, but there is a lot of damage to see just from the photos.
Little Shelter took her in, cleaned her up and gave her a warm bed and food. In return she wagged her tail and licked our hands. When we bring her into the office to socialize her, Trudy will lay her head in our lap just looking for attention and love. Trudy has hope and still believes in human companionship despite everything that she has been through. Every time we work with her, we see a glint of the dog she truly is inside and we know we are coming closer to bringing that shinning personality back out.
Trudy still has a long road to recovery, we are trying to build up her weight and her self confidence. She is still adjusting to being able to walk around in her kennel or on leash, and needs help understanding going up and down steps. In the short time we have known her, Trudy has made huge steps proving she is determined to love and be loved.
