Drugs, Weapons, Cash Seized During Search Warrants & Arrests

Suffolk County Police have arrested four people and seized drugs, weapons and cash during the execution of three search warrants during the past two days.

 

In Huntington:

Second Squad Special Operations Team detectives and Second Precinct Gang Unit officers executed a search warrant at 16 West Route 25 in Huntington Station on May 4 and arrested Eric Oquendo, a resident of the home. Oquendo, 37, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.

Sixty four bags of heroin, assorted prescription narcotics, three cell phones, two scales, packaging materials and $9,400 were seized.

In other towns:

Narcotics Section detectives and detectives from the Special Operations Teams in the Fourth and Sixth Precincts arrested three people during the execution of a search warrant at 311 Johnson Ave. in Ronkonkoma on May 5.

Edward Solomon, 26, a resident of the home, was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia.

Denys Meyer, 44, of 143 Hemlock Drive, Mastic Beach, and Danielle Desposito, 34, of 2 Erie Court, Miller Place, were both charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

A shotgun, 240 bags of heroin, 25 grams of cocaine, a quantity of prescription narcotics, 9mm ammunition and magazines and cell phones were seized.

Fifth Squad Special Operations Team detectives, Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers and Fifth Precinct Gang Unit officers executed a search warrant on May 5 at 42 Mainsail Drive in Patchogue, and arrested a resident.

Philip Paul, 21, was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers seized 26 grams of cocaine, more than 2,500 Xanex pills, 350 grams of marijuana, 49 grams of wax marijuana, more than $5,500, a stun gun, switchblade knife, gravity knife, seven cell phones, four scales and packaging for cocaine and pills.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
