Letter to Huntington UFSD Community James Polansky

Dear Huntington School District Residents:

On behalf of the Board of Education and administration, please accept my sincerest thanks for supporting the Huntington School District’s 2016-2017 budget.  While federal- and state-level challenges continue to impact the local educational and fiscal climate, your support will allow us to address the needs of our students and the concerns of district taxpayers.  In addition, your support for the capital proposition will permit us to make needed improvements and upgrades to buildings throughout the district with no impact on the tax levy.

My gratitude extends to each of you who assumed an active role, asked questions or provided input during the budget development process.  We will maintain our efforts toward achieving cost savings and efficiencies, while preserving the goal of providing students across the district with a high quality education that promotes an appreciation for learning and one that prepares them for the next stages of their academic and professional lives.

As always, I strongly encourage district residents to contact us at any time during the year with questions or concerns, or simply to recognize a student or staff member accomplishment.  Together, we can build further upon the district’s considerable progress and continue to foster an environment that promotes student growth and achievement, parental involvement and collaboration among all members of the school district community.
