Northport Artists Win ‘Best in Show’ Award

Congratulations to the following Northport High School students, and their art teacher, Mr. Peter May, who won Best of Show in Film at the Long Island Media Arts Show, which was a Nassau/Suffolk competition held at Five Towns College on April 1.  Northport High School was only allowed seven entries and each entry was awarded top honors.

The following students were among the winners:

• Ian Hunter
• Jack R. Fitzmaurice
• Katherine Gallo
• Grant Frye
• Sarah Sewell
• Jeanette Wells
• Jonathan Dwyer

Furthermore, both Gallo and Sewell were selected to move onto the First Exposure Film Festival at the Huntington Cinema Arts Centre on May 15.
