Man on Dirt Bike Seriously Injured after Crash with Parked Vehicle

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man riding a dirt bike.

Joseph Fraumeni, Jr. was operating a Kawasaki KX100 dirt bike westbound on Darrow Lane in Greenlawn when he struck the rear of a parked vehicle last night at 11:06 p.m.

Fraumeni, 22, of Huntington, was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is being treated for serious leg and internal injuries.

The dirt bike was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
