Announcement of Suffolk County’s Summer Youth Connection Activities

Yesterday July 12, 2016 Councilwomen Tracy Edwards and the entire Town Board, announces at Walt Whitman High School, The Suffolk County’s Summer Youth Connection, a summer activity program open to all but aimed specifically to provide educational and recreational activity for youth 12-18 years of age in the Town of Huntington free of charge. Programs include Golf, Photography, Fire Academy, Crime Scene Investigation Class, Basketball Clinic, Volley Ball, Fitness Training, Jazzercise and much more. Program hours are from 5-9 p.m. Monday- Thursday. Friday nights are dedicated to children with disabilities.

The program is presented jointly by Suffolk County and the Town of Huntington hosted by the South Huntington School District at Walt Whitman HS, 301 West Hills Road, Huntington Station, NY. Partners include the Huntington Opportunity Resource Center Leadership Council, the Suffolk County Police Department, the Park Shore Science Camp Academy, the Huntington Manor Fire Department, the Huntington Ecumenical Ministers Alliance, Tri-CYA, REACH-CYA, David W Parker Lodge #72 and chapter 64, OES, and the Huntington branch of the NAACP. Other sponsors include the Huntington Community First Aid Squad, Integrity Golf and Canon USA.
