Congratulations on a big win at the US Bands competition on Saturday night, October 22, 2016. This is the second consecutive year that the Wildcat Marching Band has brought home a State Championship.
“Bravo to all these young musicians who have worked so diligently to achieve this most prestigious title,” said Jackie Tartaro in this week’s Superintendents Newsletter. “We also must truly recognize and congratulate the directors, Dennis Pettas, and Caitlin Coumatos, who through their talent, mentoring, and dedication has enlightened and guided their students through the thick and thin of competitions. Last, but certainly not least, we must acknowledge and thank the unending support and hard work of the Marching Band Parents Association. Without the constant driven efforts of these dedicated men and women, the Marching Band could not go forward. We thank you for your tireless vigilance in supporting your children and the South Huntington School District.”
