Seven members from the Northport High School Boys Varsity Volleyball team were awarded at the Suffolk County Boys Volleyball Awards Dinner on Dec. 12. Christopher Parker, Jamie O’Donnell, Jeremy Rescott, Andrew Roniger, Ben Sandt, Andrew Watts and Timothy Luft were recognized based on their successful volleyball season.
The team ended their season with an impressive 11-5 record, finishing third in Suffolk County. In addition, the team was selected by Newsday as a top 10 team on Long Island. Parker was also named to Newsday’s All Long Island Team, which selects the top 10 players on Long Island.
“I am extremely proud of these young men,” said coach Amanda DiPietro. “These athletes work very hard in the off-season and throughout the season, and they are very deserving of these awards.”
