SINI UNABLE TO NAME A SINGLE GANG MEMBER HE PUT IN JAIL, WHILE LIFELONG PROSECUTOR TIERNEY PROVIDES LONG LIST OF HIS GANG MEMBER CONVICTIONS
Suffolk County District Attorney candidate and former Federal Prosecutor Ray Tierney tonight demonstrated his undeniable advantage in prosecutorial experience over current District Attorney Tim Sini in debate.
The debate, hosted by the prestigious Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, covered a wide range of topics, all of which Tierney won handily.
The topic of prosecutorial experience dominated the debate. And there was simply no comparison. Ray Tierney pointed out that Sini was handed the Suffolk County Police Commissioner job at age 34 with no prior law enforcement experience. Tierney also criticized Sini for never having tried a case himself in Suffolk County.
The most significant moment in the evening came when lifelong prosecutor Ray Tierney provided a long list of gang members he personally prosecuted and convicted. Tierney even provided the length of jail sentence for each gang member.
Tierney then asked sitting DA Sini to name just one gang case he personally prosecuted or one gang member he put in jail. Crickets. Sini could NOT name even one.
“I’m confident the members of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association this evening confirmed what they already knew, that I am the candidate for District Attorney with by far the most prosecutorial experience and the person best qualified to be the next District Attorney. Members of the Criminal Bar Association also know that I will – finally – take politics out of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office once and for all,” stated Tierney.
