Sheldon Leftenant has been identified as the man who was arrested for shooting a Second Precinct police officer in

Huntington Station last night. Leftenant, 22, of 7 Tippin Drive, Huntington Station, was charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder and Resisting Arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip today.

Sheldon Leftenant was arrested in March of 2012 along with 11 other individuals for shooting 3 individuals at the Lincoln Farms apartment complex. On November 27, 2011, three people were sitting in a parked car in front of the apartment complex.  A large group surrounded the vehicle and several shots were fired.

In August 2014, Sheldon Leftenant, was standing in front of his home on Tippin Drive when two vehicles drove by, and someone fired a gun. The bullet struck Leftenant in the groin. Leftenant was taken to Huntington Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

7 Tippin Drive, where Leftenant resides is owned by Catco associates.  Catco associates is one of the many propertiesLincoln Apartment Shootings owned by notorious landlord Don Pius.  The recent arrest of 8 individuals in Greenlawn was also a Pius owned  property.
