On Monday evening July 2, newly elected Asharoken Mayor Gregory Letica took his oath-of-office from Supervisor Frank Petrone. Village Trustees Joseph Tilleli and Mel Ettinger also participated in the swearing in ceremony. Mayor Letica led his first Village Hall meeting following the swearing in. It was a standing room only crowd for the Mayor’s first meeting.

As of 1:23pm today there are 2,101 Huntingtonians without power. Elwood and South Huntington now lead the way respectively with 366 and 368 missing power. The Town administration wants you to call the 24 hour hotline to tell them you still do not have power so they can let LIPA know, the number is 631-351-3234.
