The Melville Fire Department captured the Best Holiday Float Award at the Huntington Holiday Parade in Huntington Village on Saturday night. Melville’s float was complete with holiday toys and real life cartoon characters. Local fire departments competed in a friendly competition to determine who gets to play Santa Claus in next year’s parade, which will be Melville.
