Second Precinct police officers responded to 11 Tippin Drive in Huntington Station at 12:56 a.m. after a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot. When police arrived, they discovered Darnell Boddie, 42, lying on the front steps of his residence. He was taken to Huntington Hospital when he was pronounced dead.
